"This show is about bringing art back into intimate, conversational spaces. Historically, salons were where artists, collectors, and curious minds gathered—walls densely hung, work stacked high, conversations flowing freely. Democratic, accessible, even a little chaotic - the opposite of white wall spaces where pieces float in isolation. I'm reviving this tradition because I believe good work deserves to be seen in dialogue, not in silence. I believe that art should live where people gather, where you can stand close enough to see the brushstrokes and then turn around to ask the artist directly about the work. Breaking down the barrier between creation and consumption.
To the artists who submitted—whether your work is on the wall or not, I am beyond grateful you trusted me with your practice. Choosing what to include felt deeply personal, as I know every piece represented real experiences and the memories that shaped them. The process of curating was both methodic and exploratory, since there’s no predetermined theme - I needed to do this in a way that let the works speak to each other naturally, in real time. So, after receiving all the submissions, I made miniature to-scale versions of each piece to work with them by hand. This tactile process is about responding to the work itself - how it moves, breathes, takes up space.
After days of testing countless layouts and listening to how the different works interact, slowly but surely the curation became clear. The end result - a natural rhythmic flow of magnetic juxtapositions, creating conversations across mediums and time. Thank you all deeply for being here tonight, it is your presence here that makes this dream a reality. "
